AI is a powerful tool in modern day design. Utilizing AI for design can lead to quicker brainstorming, faster designing and less expenses. However, AI alone is not sufficient enough for professional grade graphic designing and can lead to many problems. Businesses will still need a designer.

How a Human Designer is still Better for Businesses

Providing poor AI prompts with little design theory knowledge can create multiple issues like unoriginal work, lack of proper communication, and a consistent understanding of brand identity, which could be a huge problem for businesses who are trying to establish a visual theme.

Though AI can fabricate designs fast, it does no truly display what a business is exactly trying to emphasize. On the contrary, a human is more capable of communicating with a client, understanding what their ideas and needs are, and create accurate designs.

Why Human Designs are Still Better than AI’s

A common problem with AI generated designs is that they start to look repetitive and generic. This doesn’t mean that AI is fully incapable of producing something that looks “nice”, but looking “good” does not always equal an effective design.

Businesses thrive on separating themselves from competitors by creating visuals that can be recognized by audiences. A professional designer is capable of creating unique concepts that not only look appealing, but directly connects to a company’s identity.

Pro Designers Understand the Brand

A business cannot simply rely on just a logo for recognition. Brands need specific colour pallets, typography, layouts and more to all work in unison. This allows for a consistent graphic style across all platforms like websites, social media, and packaging.

This creates a connected feel on those platforms, which will give brands a visual identity. On the other hand, AI can assist with designs but wont provide a brand with the consistency that they need to succeed.
